What is a Carnet de passage?

Carnet de passage is an internationally recognized Customs document. The Carnet de Passage system allows travelers/ tourists to move through countries driving their own vehicles. Such vehicles are allowed to enter the traveling country on temporary importation facilities without payment of any duty and taxes. 

Travelers / tourists will have to carry a Carnet issued by the competent authority from their home country. This facility has been enabled under the 1954 UN Convention titled
