What is the difference between Special Bonded Warehouse and Bonded Warehouse?

Special Bonded warehouse facility is accorded to 100% export oriented garments industries, which include the oven garments and knitwear and sweater industries.

On the other hand, General Bonded warehouse facility is available to any 100% export oriented industry other than the special bonded warehouses. These include the deemed exporters, diplomatic missions, home consumption industries, shipbuilding, etc. 

There are differences between these two broad types of warehouses in terms of the scope/coverage, documentation requirements, procedures and control mechanism of bond facilities.
