The following formalities are to be observed in order to get permission for extension of bonding period for raw materials: 

1. An application for extension of bonding period for raw materials has to be submitted to the respective Customs Bond Commissionerate.
2. A recommendation letter on the quality of raw materials from the concerned association to be submitted along with the application.
3. After receiving that recommendation, the concerned bond officer will physically inspect the stock and quality of the raw-materials, and submit his report in a prescribe format. If the report is OK, i.e. if the raw materials are found accurate in correct quantity and good quality respectively, the extension order would be issued.
