What is the amount of general bond to be executed by Bonded Warehouse Licensee?

This has been elaborated in the Rule 12 of the Bonded Warehouse Licensing Rules, 2008 (SRO no. 181-Law/2008/2209/Cus, dated 26/06/2008). The amount of general bond to be executed by different types of bonded warehouses for duty free imports, warehousing and use of inputs/raw materials and subsequent exports are as follows:

Sl. No.	Type of Bonded Warehouse	Amount of general bond
1	For deemed exporters	Tk. 1 crore (10,000,000)
2	For licensees having both deemed and direct exports	Tk. 2 crore (20,000,000)
3	For direct exporters	Tk. 3 crore (30,000,000)
4	For diplomatic, duty free and duty paid warehouses	Tk. 3 crore (30,000,000)

The Bonded warehouse licensing authority may increase the amount of General Bond considering the volume of import and export activities by the bonder.
