What is the time limit to apply for duty drawback by diplomats? (Mainly VAT paid on their purchase such as Petrol, Diesel, and Octane)

As per the Value Added Tax Act 1991, and section 39 of the Customs Act, 1969, in order to get duty drawback, diplomatic missions will have to apply within 6 months from the date of official purchase of locally produced goods, on which they have paid VAT. Purchases will have to be in local currencies only and must be made from a VAT registered firm/person.  [Reference: NBR File No. 6(11) VAT-1/91/139 (13) date- 15/07/1993]
