In certain situations, one can. Subject to fulfillment of IPO conditions, one can import the following categories against LCA Form, but without letter of Credit (L/C), as per paragraph 8, sup-paragraph 3 of the Import Policy Order, 2015-2018.

1. Each consignment of quickly perishable food items worth US dollar Fifty Thousand via Teknaf Customs Station;
2. Each consignment of quickly perishable food items worth US Dollar Ten Thousand via other land customs stations; and
3. Essential food items irrespective of price limit via other land customs stations.
