(A) Border haats are the market places constructed at the zero-point between India and Bangladesh at a number of designated areas. At the moment, several such border haats are in operation between the borders of Bangladesh with the Indian states of Meghalaya and Tripura. At these border haats, people from nearby areas can buy or sale products that are allowed through an agreement between the governments of Bangladesh and India.
